Damn Good Extra Virgin Olive Oil
It all started in the basement of Mark Bacchetti's bunk house. Mark is owner of Marca Bella Farms, a 4th generation farming operation located in the beautiful San Joaquin Valley. Mark has 30+ Olive trees around his beautiful bunk house compound. He produced his first "batch" of olive oil in 2023 and gifted my wife Kathy and I a bottle. It was awesome! Being the natural farmer/entrepreneur Mark said we should test market this product, so a partnership is born!
By the way Mark also convinced us to plant our own olive grove which we planted in November 2024.He is quite the persuader and helped us through the whole process, we are slowly becoming farmers :) So we planted 125 trees consisting of Pendolino, Leccino and Moraiolo olives.
Marca Bella Farms: a 4th generation family farm started out in the 1940’s with a dairy farm. In 1950 began growing tomatoes on the dairy’s 40 acres. Eventually growing the farm from 500 to 2000 acres producing asparagus, tomatoes, alfalfa and grains.
In addition to the farming operation they started GloriAnn Farms in 1998 that now produces over one million boxes of sweet corn per year. Sold in some of the largest grocery chains in the country.
The operation now has expanded to 4000 acres producing almonds, garlic, sweet corn, alfalfa, and cucumbers.
Olives:
The Olive groves are located on the San Joaquin Delta consisting of Pendolino, Leccino and Moraiolo olive trees. The original grove is harvested each year and produces a limited amount of olives each year. These olives are hand picked and shipped same day to Figone Olive Oil Company where it is crushed using Figone’s certified Organic and non-GMO milling process. The ultimate Olive oil is infused with Figone’s unique Extra Virgin Olive Oil to produce a unique blend.
